A healthy perspective...

Hello friends, family, and googlers. My name is Bryce, and I have an obsession with food. This cult-like devotion of mine began like many other typical American citizens. Growing up, McDonalds, Sunday All-You-Can-Eat pizza buffets, and Twinkies were the norm as a child growing up in the 1990's. Life was SO good.

Then I graduated high school. Top Ramen, ordering Pizza, and Mac & Cheese replaced the daily routine of mine (just like many college students). OH, I forgot to mention.. SODA! Mt. Dew, Pepsi, Coke... If I didn't have one of these within 24 hours, I had a craving for them.

What's really sad, is everything I just told you about myself, is extremely normal in the world we live in. We as a society choose to feed our cravings to the max when when we are younger, simply because we don't see the cost until it's too late.

Okay, enough rambling. The point of this blog, is to keep a log of the dinners Leah (My beautiful, patient, loving wife) and I have decided to cook day in and day out. We will be trying some dinners we've never eaten before, and some we have. But the ultimate goal is to eat healthy foods everyday, so it becomes a lifestyle for us and our future family.

I've read that what you eat can determine your life span, up to 40 years!!! That means what I eat can determine whether I live to see age 50, or age 90... or beyond. That's just too important for us to forget and move on. So here we go... wish us luck! (PS: We would love to have people suggest healthy foods to us that we should try!)
